Yes, I bought a PT Cruiser - I thought it looked cool, it was fun to drive, blah, blah, blah. But it turned out to be a piece of shit Chrysler - shoulda known. Maybe the first clue should have been when the shifter knob came off in my hand two weeks into ownership. So, I, hat in hand, went back to Honda and begged their forgiveness...I had seen the error of my ways.
Anyway, the Dubya household was some kind of experiment in biological warfare this weekend. Yours truly was spared most of it, but something has whacked Mrs. Big Dubya and things have not been pleasant. And just when you thought teething was enough of an affliction for Little Dub, add to that a cough that wracks him so hard he ends up vomiting. All.Over.The.Place. It was kind of like being at an amusement park watching people get off the Rotor. If it weren't for the fact that I have a very strong stomach, the Dubya house would have looked like that scene in Stand By Me.
I learned from my DadCentric co-conspirator Chris that this is De-Lurking Week, which was started last year by Sheryl at Paper Napkin. If you've been lurking here at Mr. Big Dubya now's the time to show yourself - consider this your week-long get out of jail free card...you can pass go and collect your $200. Say hello, how are you, what's up, how's your day, whatever your little heart desires. Feel free to talk amongst yourselves, I don't care, just say a little something.

Hi,
I'm delurking. I love reading your posts. My DH is an SAHD in Westchester County so I just like to get another perspective from another local dad :)
Hm. Can't seem to manage to leave a comment for some reason. 3rd time's the charm?
I am actively delurking as well.
My son's favorite joke goes like this.
Me: Knock, knock.
Ben: Who's there?
Me: The interrupting cow.
Ben: The interr-
Me: MOO!
Hope everyone's feeling better soon.
:) S'ok, we can overlook the PT Cruiser. Sorry about the Dubya bug... glad it's NOT the scene from Stand By Me. I really hope motherhood changes that in me... I'm pretty weak in the stomach, but maybe it'll be different when I have a son. We'll see.... :) Happy Delurking Day!!
So I get $200.00 for leaving a comment? Or is it just a get-out-of-jail-free card?
'Cause I could use them both.
Yuck. I hope your house is vomit free soon.
ok...I been lurking for a while...love your work.
And I can totally relate to the PT Cruiser; we had to have a Toyota RAV4. Might as well have painted it bright pink and pasted hearts and teddy bears all over it...
It's 3:30, I'm at work, and I'm looking at TEH INTERNETS. Shiny!
Just coming by to add to your count! PT Cruiser, eh? That's my MIL's dream car.
Hey from Florida!
Can I get that money in pennies?
You know I love you, man, but I need to know...what color was your PT Cruiser?
i'm not a lurker, so no need to de-lurk, but hello! anyway.
Dude - you seriously bought a PT Cruiser. SO sorry. I am with MD thought - is it maroon? Sorry, I had to ask. Tell Mrs. Big Dubya I hope she feels better soon. I am kind of de-lurking, except that I comment on your posts at DadCentric.
let me know if you want me to come over and paint flames on the PT.
seriously, I know how to do it. my dad was an auto body man.
