I know Thanksgiving is still a week away, but I have to get myself geared up for the Holidays. So, while I'm thinking about it, I might as well announce the 2008 version of Mr. Big Dubya's Bloggers' Mantel™. Wondering what the hell I'm talking about? Look back through my archives for 2005 and 2006 or go here and look at 2007's initial salvo. You know you want to participate so just give in - you will be assimilated.

Update: there have been questions about the rules governing The Mantel™. First rule of The Mantel™ is you do not talk...um...no...sorry, getting my rules confused. First rule of The Mantel™ is there really are no rules. You send me a Chritsmas card or a photo (cute, funny or even horrific) you want displayed on The Mantel™ and I post it under the obligatory puicture of a Yule Log for the blogosphere to see. Think of me as the Internet refrigerator. The Hearth of the Tubes, if you will. Then our imaginary virtual friends get a card just as if you were to send them one and you don't even have to splurge on the postage. See? Simple.
